Jackie Daly is the scriptwriter for SubSeaTV. She writes many of our scripted films, including The Last Seahorse in Studland? that won the BWPAwards, and The Garden, broadcast on BBC Springwatch.
Jackie writes drama for page, stage, screen, and audio. Her play Mothership was showcased at Sheffield Crucible. Her play Warrior Queens was showcased at the Stephen Joseph Theatre. Her play Dark Psyche was staged as a script-in-hand reading by Beach Hut Theatre Company. Her one-act play The Space Between was produced by Windsor Fringe. Her short radio play Homing was produced by Stefan Escreet of Ragged Edge Productions. Her short play Tightrope was produced at Leeds Pub Theatre, and her short play Edges was produced by Buglight Theatre.
She spent a year on attachment to Sheffield Theatres as a member of their writer’s group, received a seed commission from Stephen Joseph Theatre, won the Kenneth Branagh Award for new drama writing, and Script Yorkshire’s radio play competition. She’s an alumna of Playwrights One development programme at Leeds Playhouse, was shortlisted for the OffWestEnd.com Adopt A Playwright Award and long-listed for the Old Vic 12.
